was born in Briston, North Norfolk, England, in 1941. After studying Art and Graphic Design at Norwich Art School he pursued a career in this field, eventually becoming Senior Designer at Jarrold Printing in Norwich, undertaking design commissions for many national and international companies.
Martin's fascination for exploring every aspect of watercolour painting, his skills of draughtsmanship, precision, accuracy and detail combined with his deep affection for the North Norfolk countryside, have resulted in his paintings being commissioned and purchased for private collections in this country and abroad.
Finding it increasingly difficult to devote enough time to painting, he decided to become a freelance artist in 1987 working from his Broadmead Studio in Sheringham, a decision that he has never regretted. Publication of his original landscape paintings has now resulted in him becoming widely known as one of Norfolk's most popular watercolour artists.
Martin exhibits regularly throughout East Anglia and has a permanent exhibition at his Broadmead Studio, Sheringham, a working studio exhibiting original watercolours, signed prints and greetings cards, where visitors are always made very welcome.
